Lithium citrate refers to the compound produced by the reaction of lithium ions and citrate.  It is a white powder with the chemical formula Li3C6H5O7. Lithium citrate is also widely used in building materials.

Lithium citrate can be used in concrete as a high-efficiency retardant water-reducing agent; a retarder can delay the hydration reaction of cement, thereby prolonging the setting time of concrete, allowing fresh concrete to maintain plasticity for a longer period of time, facilitating pouring, and improving  It is an admixture that improves construction efficiency and will not have any adverse effects on the later performance of concrete.
