Product Introduction

Polycarboxylate slump retention powder is a new-type additive designed to maintain the slump and spread of concrete, as well as stabilize the fluidity and working performance of mortar. It is generally compounded with high water-reducing polycarboxylate superplasticizer, which can significantly improve the workability of concrete and mortar, and maintain the workability for 2 to 4 hours. This product effectively mitigates severe slump loss of concrete and fluidity loss of mortar caused by excessive mud and powder content in sand and aggregate.

Adopting an innovative production process that abandons the conventional spray drying pulverization technology, the whole production process is operated at a temperature below 100C. It features lower energy consumption, higher safety and better environmental performance.

External addition: 0.1–0.6% by mass of cementitious materials

 

Product Features

1. No initial water-reducing effect; it will not increase the initial slump, spread of concrete or initial fluidity of mortar.

2. Water-reducing performance gradually emerges after 1 hour. With increased dosage, the slump of concrete and fluidity of mortar will rise over time.

3. Resists slump loss induced by clay, stone powder and ambient temperature changes.

4. Allows proper reduction of the dosage of superplasticizer and cement.

5. Excellent compatibility with other Concrete Admixtures.

 

Cement Paste Fluidity Test

Test Materials: P.O 52.5 Portland cement; dosage of polycarboxylate superplasticizer powder: 0.2%; dosage of polycarboxylate slump retention agent: 0.02%.Test results (cement paste fluidity, unit: mm):

Test Conclusion: For cement paste blended with this polycarboxylate slump retention agent, the initial fluidity remains unchanged, and favorable fluidity can be sustained for up to 3 hours.

 

Packaging & Storage

1. Packaging: 25 kg composite plastic bag or fiber drum with inner plastic bag for moisture proof.

2. Storage: Store in cool, dry and ventilated area; keep away from direct sunlight and rain.

3. Shelf Life: 12 months under proper storage conditions.

4. Seal tightly immediately after opening if not fully used, to prevent moisture absorption and deterioration.

2. No environmental pollution is observed during application. Disposal and discharge shall comply with local environmental regulations.
